French Montana brought the hometown love as his “Excuse My French” tour hit New York City. French performed a lengthy set of his radio hits (“Pop That,” “Stay Schemin,” “Shot Caller”) along with his heavy body of mixtape work, including tracks from his mixtape, “Mac & Cheese 3.” “Haannnn,” the Bronx rapper grinned with his signature ad-lib throughout the night. French Montana sure does love to party like at Party Bingo. If there’s one thing French has, it’s a growing roster of famous friends. A bevy of guest stars including Busta Rhymes, DJ Khaled, Wyclef and of course, French’s Coke Boyz colleague Chinx Drugz all made appearances. Some cameos, like his cohort Chinx Drugz or the street banger “I’m A Coke Boy,” made more sense while others, especially Wyclef who got up to spit a Spanglish freestyle of all things, were a bit odd. The most salacious guest star of course, was French bringing his rumored girlfriend Trina onstage. Trina, who looked gorgeous, performed their collabo “Tick Tock” but it was the duo’s offstage antics that really raised eyebrows. Frenchie and Trina were in cuddle mode after the show, clearly enjoying each other’s company. French hasn’t fessed up to dating the Diamond Princess as of yet, but the mere thought of this new hip-hop couple already has tongues wagging. The elder statesmen Busta used the opportunity to hype up French’s debut album “Excuse My French,” dropping on May 21st, which just so happens to be the late Notorious B.I.G.’s birthday. “No other New York rapper has dropped an album on Big’s birthday,” roared Busta, showing the crowd that the torch was being passed to a new generation of Bad Boy Records.
